Limerick Tutorial College would like to make you aware that we will be running a HPAT Ireland preparation course for those students sitting the exam on February 27th 2010.
The course will consist of four Sundays from 2pm-5pm.
-
Sunday 8th November 2009 (Section 1 and 3)
-
Sunday 22nd November 2009 (Section 2 and 3)
-
Sunday 17th January 2010 (Section 1 and 3)
-
Sunday 31st January 2010 (Section 2 and 3)
Sunday 14th February 2010 (Full Test)
On the first four Sundays the student will sit two sections of the HPAT exam. They will then be allocated equal time to review each section as they had to complete it. For this review session the student will be provided with the correct answers. This will enable the student to see where they have made errors. The review session must be used to train the student’s mind to understand how they went wrong and adapt to the HPAT way of thinking. On the final Sunday the student will sit a full HPAT exam to ensure they are fully comfortable with the exam structure. No student will be allowed to take the exam away from the exam centre but will be provided with feedback and performance indication on each exam. This feedback will be sent within five working days of sitting each exam. This will allow the student to analyse the previous exam before sitting the next.
HPAT Ireland is not based on any curriculum or subject areas. The only preparation advisable for this type of exam is repeated exposure to exam technique, structure and style. It is also helpful to practice using machine-readable answer sheets similar to the one in the actual test.
The total cost of the preparation course will be €400.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office should you need any further information.
